I didn't have the character long enough to contemplate the effects, unfortunately. Her demon form possesses a couple more Succubus traits, though not many.I used to have Blood Elf DH on Moon Guard whose Inner Demon was a Fel Guard. The particular shape of her horns are also part of it, along with a relatively slight alteration of her voice.
The Aldrachi had in a way tried to save some of his people, but instead had to watch them be destroyed for rejecting the choice he tried to make for them. Not hardened in a desolate, nothing-to-lose way though, but in a grimly determined way. The Aldrachi soul within him hardened his outlook even more than it was after the destruction of the Sunwell. Every race that has faced the Legion has had traitors in their ranks however, and the particular Aldrachi that my DH consumed was responsible for the downfall of their world, when he gave up critical info to the Legion in exchange for demonic ascension - he thought he could rule his people when they at last turned to demons, but they all preferred death.Before becoming a DH, Mukotsu was a paladin in the defense of Silvermoon, but like much of his people his faith was crushed when the Scourge trampled them, and he willingly answered Kael's call for Illidari recruits to gain new powers that wouldn't fail him so he could avenge his family against the demons. This resulted in the pretty unique demonic form that DH's get as tanks.We don't know much about the race, as it was said that Sargeras annihilated all of them when he couldn't convince the remaining ones to turn, but we know they were a warrior people with incredible fortitude, hence their ability to withstand the Legion. I'd love to bring her back on Wyrmrest if the devs ever get rid of that arbitrary limit on Demon Hunters per server.I sort of head-cannoned mine to have consumed perhaps the only Aldrachi demon, the species that possessed the associated warglaives.
~thumbs up~ There is nothing to be ashamed of for not having considered this.I didn't know what Rialius' innder demon was when I started him. I have much enjoyed reading over these though and the reasons / changes others have posted. I main a warlock and the fact I didn't think of my dh's demon makes me want to go back through lore and see what I could figure out to fit her personality. 09:15 PMPosted by RosekittenThis is actually a aspect of DH character building I didn't think of and I'm suddenly ashamed of myself and feeling a great need to write up my DH in more detail now. They both have learned from each other, however, and the demon eventually came around and became a great source of knowledge against the Legion and a partner to Mukotsu who wants to see his people protected even though his own world is gone.In the event I get pushback for this backstory, the alternative demon consumed is an Eredar, in fact the former brother of my LFD priest, just to make for some more drama between them. He became fully fel-corrupted by his inner turmoil over this choice, and would try to taunt Mukotsu to make the same one when the Legion came for Azeroth.

The demon takes a relaxing bubble bath (self care), then seeks Rialius' brother (who they are living with, said brother is also a mind specialist priest), and says, "The host's mind is broken. He tried to act completely normal, goes to the bedroom he and partner are staying in, kiss the partner (who he is terrified of because they vowed to kill each other if they lost control to the demon). The demon wants to keep living so he proceeded to take over Rialius. When I finally considered it, the Inquisitor vs Inquisitor thing fit.It's just additional character development we can do.My characters' partner and I actually did some RP in Rialius' mind's eye after an episode of PTSD caused the demon to take over for a time.Basically Rialius was about to do something stupid and after Argus the demon isn't sure of their immortality anymore. My brain didn't connect the new demons we see in Legion with something our guys could have absorbed.
